GLF Integrated Power, Inc. is a Silicon Valley, California Semiconductor Company. Founded in 2013, we provide breakthrough, ultra-efficient, ultra-small, silicon power control and protection IC.

We launched our first IQSmartTM, ultra-efficient loadswitch device in 2015 and achieved immediate design wins at major wearable, SSD, and portable device manufacturers. Our portfolio is now actively expanding.

Responsibilities :

  • Works on l power management IC design, circuit synthesis from the transistor/resistor level up to the system level, simulation, layout supervision;
  • Translate the product requirements into optimal design topology choices;
  • Design high performance analog blocks for custom power ICs
  • Participates in the entire product development cycle, from product definition through product release;
  • Run design simulations to validate product performance using design kit models/libraries. Support the customer interface in understanding application requirements and assuring technical feasibility during the product development phase;
  • Lead an Analog IC design team with product ownership and responsibility from definition to release to manufacturing
  • Make assignments for team members, providing design guidance as needed, developing schedules and monitoring progress throughout the project
  • Work with and provide guidance to physical designers and monitors the progress of IC layout
  • Collaborate with validation, product engineering and test engineering teams to enable successful transfer to production
  • Evaluate system-level use-cases and re-create these in simulation
  • Interface and lead discussions with the customer to understand customer designs, problems and support as required
  • Responsible for developing self-checking test benches to enable regression testing;
  • fundamentals to enable debug of simulations;
  • Assists ATE development with Design-For-Test methods;
  • Oversees and mentors junior engineers.
  • Driven to achieve success and able to work in a team of expert engineers to reach clear design goals;

Requirements:

  • BSEE / MSEE with 5 + years of Semiconductor and/or Analog circuit design experience;
  • Coursework or internship experience in the following areas will be considered a plus: Power managementDC/DC converters, LDO, Charge pumps,and low-power design techniques;
  • Strong background in semiconductor physics;
  • Experience of relevant CAD tools (Cadence flow) and IC design methodology;
  • Structured IC design methodology covering specification, implementation, design and test
  • Experience working with layout team on block and top level floor-planning
  • Strong device physics knowledge that is applicable to analog IC design
  • Expertise in tools e.g. Spectre, Matlab and AMS
  • Strong verbal and written communication skill
  • Ability to take the initiative and drive for results
  • Strong time management skills that enable on-time project delivery
  • Ability to work in teams and collaborate effectively with people in different functions
  • Demonstrated ability to build strong, influential relationships
  • Working well in a team environment is imperative in this role
  • Strong attention to detail.
